Background Benedict Azu, PhD from Ute-Ogbeje in Ika North East Local Government. His academic world began in 1979 at Omu-Izehen Primary School Ekuku-Agbor and proceeds to St. Charles College, Abavo, and attended Edo State University, Ekpoma where he graduated with B.Sc (Hons) Economics in 1998. As a result of strong passion for the teaching profession, he gained Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2007 with National Teachers Institute, Kaduna. Due to His enthusiasm for higher learning, he earned M.Sc and Ph.D in Economics from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2009 and 2020 respectively. A Professional member of Nigerian Economic Society.
He started his teaching career in the Institute of Continuing Education (I.C.E) Agbor as Assistant lecturer in 2004, later he joined the defunct College of Education in 2014 as lecturer II, and he earned his last promotions to Senior lecturer in 2019 in the defunct College of Education. With the upgrade of the defunct College of Education, Agbor to University of Delta, Agbor, he was hired as lecturer I in the department of Economics, Faculty of Management and Social Science from University of Delta Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. He was appointed Ag. Director Centre for Entrepreneurship Development on the 6th September, 2022.
