Abstract The Niger Delta is a region that is blessed with resources which seems to have become a curse to the people. Historically, the region has suffered opposition given the resources found in their region as far back the 17th century but the pervasiveness of this opposition is tracked to the oil discovery in Nigeria which is located in the Niger delta region. Oil production has contributed significantly to the growth of Nigeria economy but the Niger Delta region has only benefited marginally from it given the copious Multinational Corporations (MCs) operating in the region. Also, oil revenue to Nigeria government has not been significantly used in developing the Niger delta economy such that poverty rate is high in the region making them among the poorest regions of the world. The fight against this odds has led to the historical Niger Delta struggle and a culture for the control of these resources. This paper thus examined the oil production activities in Nigeria, the impact of oil production on the people, their exertion for resources control, and the corollary of their activities as it relates to oil production in Nigeria. The study showed that the region has been unfavourably affected by crude oil production as the system of governance of common resource control has deprived them of the benefits of oil and has been the root for struggle for the control of the resources in addition to the countless crisis in the region and the country at large. This study therefore argue among others for enforceable laws towards oil spillage and gas flaring control while regional sovereignty should be given to regional located resources.

Abstract Entrepreneurship education is a potent tool in the fight against youth unemployment. However, the system of education in Nigeria has been structured in such a way that it is employment oriented to the detriment of employment generation by the individuals. Hence, youth unemployment is soaring unabatedly in Nigeria. However, if the entrepreneurship education curricula of tertiary institutions are properly reformed and reviewed to keep in touch with the current economic trend, then youth unemployment would certainly nosedive into the dustbin of history. This is the main thrust of the paper. Similarly, the paper gave an overview of entrepreneurship education and its curriculum issues. Based on the discourse, conclusion was drawn and it was recommended amongst others that there should be a bridge in the gap between curriculum of theory and curriculum of practice to make it more practical oriented

Abstract Government world over especially those at the threshold of development commit staggering amounts of her revenue on human resources development. this is in recognition that a healthy person is not only efficient but can put in more labour towards productive activities which in turn improves the economics performance of the economy. Education also frees the individual from shakles of ignorance, thus making him more receptive to innovations . it broadens the horizon of knowledge of the recipients due to exposure to the intricacies of the job. Using the econometric tools of regression analysis, the result revealed a strong correlation between the independent and dependent variables. On the whole, 66% variation in real gross domestic is explained by variables included in the model while other variables not included in the model explained 34% variation in the model. At the introduction of needs, 69% variation in the growth of Ngeria is accounted for by expenditure on health and education while the remaining 31% variation in the growth of Nigeria model is accounted for by other factors not included in the model.
